Can you guess what type of grapes these are? My Honey guessed right when I showed him the picture, but then he really knows his grapes.
I really want to get pictures posted for you guys, but … I haven’t … so here is a chart showing the data that “we” have collected on the grapes. Remember I “love” the word “we.” “We” do a lot more than just little ol’ me. Anyway, some of the boys: Clint, Tyler, Kyle, Blake, and Daniel – and of course My Honey – did tests of all the grapes from samples from our vineyards. Tyler made the Excel spreadsheet and emailed to me. Wow, I have to admit, I like technology – well, when it is working. I hate it when it isn’t working. These ”numbers” might not mean too much to some of you; but the wineries really, really like to see these so we can harvest the grapes at the optimal time, and so the wineries can start planning to make the very, very best wine for us all. Click to see “more” if you want to see the chart.

Wow, how those Dolcetto grapes jumped in brix in three days! Some of “us” are going off to hand harvest some young grapes that can’t be machine harvested and some of “us” are going to pick green beans from our personal organic garden to can for next year. Lots of harvesting going on!
Blessings, Betty
